Professional Background
Dr. Geetha Subramanian earned both her Bachelor of Science in Biology (summa cum laude) and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Missouri–Columbia. After completing a general surgery internship at the University of Missouri–Columbia, she pursued her residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
During her residency, she trained at several nationally recognized institutions, including Children’s Hospital of Michigan, The Michigan Ear Institute, and Karmanos Cancer Institute, where she gained extensive experience treating a wide range of ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions.
In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Subramanian has built an accomplished academic career as a published author and researcher. Her work includes research conducted at NASA Ames Research Center on the effects of gravity on ear function, co-authoring a medical textbook chapter on Paget’s disease affecting the middle ear, and publishing research on head and neck cancers, including studies involving gene therapies. She has also published research examining allergies, their impact on the human voice, and their role in the treatment of sinus disease. Dr. Subramanian is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, reflecting her ongoing commitment to advancing ENT and allergy care.
